Our verdict
7.8/10Borgata Online is BetMGM wearing an Atlantic City jacket, and the maker says as much: feature parity with the flagship app. That is a compliment on games, payouts and tools, and a limit on novelty. Pick it in NJ or PA if the Borgata Rewards and MGM Rewards link matters to you. Otherwise the plain BetMGM account does the same job in more states.
Best for: NJ and PA slot players who also visit MGM resorts

Gambling is entertainment with a built-in house edge. It is not a way to make money, and nothing below changes that.
Our short answer to the question behind this review: no, the relaunched Borgata Online is not a different casino from BetMGM. It is the same engine with a new coat of paint, a different logo and a rewards screen that points at Atlantic City. That is not an insult. BetMGM is a strong platform. But anyone expecting a separate product should know what they are signing up for.
What the relaunch actually changed
The redesigned site went live on July 3, 2026, for New Jersey and Pennsylvania only. BetMGM's own announcement lists the changes: structured top navigation, a fixed bottom bar on mobile, a rebuilt account hub and a single Rewards Hub. It also gives a lobby size of about 4,000 titles, including 250 exclusives, and promises Borgata-branded games later in the year.
The line that matters most is in the same release: "ongoing feature parity with BetMGM's flagship platform". Trade coverage from Sports Handle repeats it. So the tools, the cashier and the responsible gambling limits should match what you would find on BetMGM, which is useful if you already know that app.

The Rewards Hub is the real hook
Most of the new value sits in one screen. The hub gathers promotions, Borgata Rewards points and your MGM Rewards tier in one place. Points earned online carry the MGM Rewards link, so comps and discounts at MGM properties are part of the pitch, according to Gambling.com.
If you never set foot in an MGM resort, this is worth very little. If you take two trips a year to Atlantic City, it is a small but real reason to keep play on one account. Note that the fine print on the Sports Handle coverage says rewards are issued as non-withdrawable site credit unless the terms say otherwise, so read each offer before counting it as cash.

The welcome offer, in numbers
On the official promotions page the new player offer asks you to pick a deposit bonus, then spin a wheel for up to 1,000 bonus spins over eight days. Separate tiles show Daily Picks, a free-to-play game with up to $2,500 in bonus dollars, and a one million spin giveaway.

The terms as summarised by Gambling.com:
Minimum deposit: $10.
Choice of 100% match up to $500, or 20 bonus spins per $10 deposited.
Match bonus carries a 15x playthrough, slots only, within 30 days.
A 15x requirement on a $500 match means $7,500 of wagering on slots. At a typical slot house edge of a few percent, the expected cost of clearing that is a few hundred dollars. The bonus is therefore a sweetener for play you already planned, not free money. The spins route, with its no-wagering wheel prizes, is cleaner for a small first deposit.
Games, live tables and cash-outs
The lobby is slot-heavy. Gambling.com counts 50+ jackpot slots with top prizes that have passed $1 million, and 25+ live dealer tables from Evolution. That live count is modest. Game-show fans will notice the gap.
For payments it lists Play+, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Visa and cash at the cage as quick routes. We did not time a withdrawal ourselves; the reviewer calls these instant, and Gambling.com adds that failing the automatic identity check (last four digits of your Social Security number, then an ID upload) delays withdrawals. Treat "instant" as the best case.

App ratings are strong: 4.7 on the App Store from more than 48,000 reviews and 4.3 on Google Play from over 10,100, with the sour reviews mostly about older app updates.
Borgata or BetMGM: how to choose
Because the platform is shared, the choice comes down to three plain questions. Which state are you in? BetMGM also covers Michigan and West Virginia, where Borgata does not operate. Which loyalty ladder do you want to climb? Borgata points sit beside the MGM Rewards tier, so a lot of the extra value is branding and a bit of Atlantic City goodwill. And which welcome terms read better on the day you sign up? Offers differ between the two brands and change often, so compare the 15x match against whatever BetMGM is running before you commit.
One practical tip from the numbers above: the lower the playthrough multiple and the longer the window, the less pressure you are under to gamble past your budget. A 30-day clock on slots only is fair, but it is still a clock.
Who should open an account
Open one if you live in NJ or PA, enjoy a big slot lobby and use MGM resorts. Skip it if you want the widest bonus choice, since BetMGM runs in more states and offers the same tools. And if you are in either state mainly for live dealer variety, compare lobbies before you deposit.
Set a deposit limit before your first spin, and use the self-exclusion tools if play stops being fun. Help is available on 1-800-GAMBLER.
